A MANAGER can view and edit any and all Project Settings including the Content Model for the Project. Any limitations placed on a User via User Group assignments will not affect access by a Manager.
An EDITOR can view other User's Entries, Files and Contacts. An EDITOR has the power to publish an entry. An EDITOR can be limited in their access to specific Types of Entries, specific Elements, and even specific Entries by the application of User Groups and Entry Groups.
A CONTRIBUTOR can only view the Entries they have created or the Entries they have been added to for the purpose of collaboration. A Contributor does not have access to view Entries created by others and does not have the authority to publish their entries directly, without the approval of an Editor, unless individually empowered to do so.
A BASE User does not the have authority to create any content, however, the BASE User may be used for authentication within an expression and delivering expression-only functionality.
